I’m pleased to announce that Part 2 of the Rune Breaker web serial novel, Lighter Days, Darker Nights is now for sale here on Amazon.com!
Even if you’ve read the entire Rune Breaker novel up to this point online, not only will you find a more polished, better edited version, but one or two bonus items exclusive to the book!
In my ongoing quest to make a living doing what I love, I’m proud to announce the Descendants Store on Cafepress. At the moment, the designs are dark and light logos, The Liedecker Institute Crest, and ‘I Believe in Peace Through Superior Superpowers’. More will be added in the future, and you can make requests and suggestions on the this thread on the forum.
Why this week was post-free and what comes next. Continue reading
There is a legend in this world of a weapon that only the most wicked of souls seek. It has passed down through the years since before the coming of the gods and each time it’s been found, it granted its master the power to conquer. The power to rule. In the past, it was known by another name, but now it is only known by Rune Breaker.
After decades of dormancy, it just found a new master.
Only this time, things will be different. The new master of the Rune Breaker is an escaped slave-soldier of the Hailene Army of Ascendancy. She never sought the weapon. She does not want to conquer or rule.
Making that choice won’t be easy, for the Rune Breaker is not a sword or bow, but a man; a shapeshifting mage bound to serve whoever finds him as punishment for his ancient crimes. And his sentence has done nothing to reform him. Now, with a villain from before history bound to serve a heroic soul, the question must be answered: Can evil be turned to the cause of … Continue reading
No real blog this week, but that’s because I’m working on putting together the first Rune Breaker book. Still working on extras and the cover, but keep your eyes open for A Girl and Her Monster (Rune Breaker Part 1) very, very soon.
The blog will be up some time tomorrow so that I have your attention for two announcements.
First, many of you might have noticed that we’ve got a fun little play by post game going over on the forums. Well now’s your chance to get in on the action: I’m looking to add up to two new students to the Marcia Holmes School. If you’re interested, log on to the forums and post to the OOC thread.
Second, over the weekend, I’ll be trying to move the site to the descendantsserial.com domain proper. my redirects should work, but I might end up breaking your links pointing at descendantsserial.paradoxomni.net. Please update your links and bookmarks accordingly.
So I was so jazzed about starting Generations Aflame, I forgot to post the LI Annual first. No worries though, it will be posted in place of a blog Friday.
The regular blog post is below, but I wanted to let everyone know about a project one of my writer friends just published. That Weird City is a supernatural horror ebook written in part by the gentleman that started the writing group I frequent. It’s only for Kindle for now (but you can get a free Kindle app for PC or smartphone), but this guy has serious writing chops, so it’s worth the read.
From the Amazon product page:
Technical support takes a turn for the eldritch, a faulty GPS device leads straight out of this world, a bogeyman meets its match in a little girl, a murder investigation goes to hell and back, and six other tales of the Weird from two up-and-coming authors. That Weird City is a foray into the strangest areas of the world; the ones that normal people stomp through every single day of their lives.
The New Year is upon us! And in light of that, here are some previews of what’s in store for the next year of Descendants and the other works on this site. Happy New Year, everyone! Continue reading
The new chapter of Rune Breaker is below, as is the latest issue of The Spider’s Seven. I’m very sorry for those who came to the site over the past two day and saw no update. An explanation is below. Continue reading
